The Exiles have requested International Clearance to complete the signing of Jay Howse, formerly of Caton United in England. Howse 25, is a midfielder and former teammate of Keirnan Pedder, who had recommended him to the club. Having played for Caton this season, a transfer has been requested by the club and submitted to the Football Association of Wales for clearance.
Howse is expected to be able to play in the next few weeks, and hopefully that will be in time for the season restart in January. Once completed, Howse has been assigned the 69 shirt.
Exiles have also offered unattached Goalkeeper Scott Lea a deal and are currently finalising terms. Once Howse and Lea are completed, they will join recently signed Dexter Marshall, Joe Richards, Rhys Pugh-Evans and the returning Giles Moseley. Those signings will mean the club will have 57 players on the books, however with Matty Thomas looking to leave, Craig Bridge and Ben Rabaiotti currently absent and the long-term injuries to Emyr Jones and Chris Jeacott the club needed reinforcements.
